Remember when Puerto Rico was raising hell about the US Navy using that nothing little island just Off the coast of Puerto Rico for bombing practices, which they had used for the past 75 Demonstrations were held, Hollywood left wingers, Al Sharpton, and his fellow demagogues went down there to demonstrate to get the Navy out? I am sure it infuriated you just as it did me at the time./x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
Well, here is our revenge. Always be careful what you ask for, you just may get it! /x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
One of the many headaches that the U. S. has had was the Puerto Rican Island of Vieques In the waning years of the Clinton Administration, Protesters demanded that the US Navy abandon bombing and naval gun fire exercises that had taken place on the largely uninhabited island for nearly seventy years./x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
Liberal icons bumped into one another to fly to Puerto Rico, boat over to the island, trespass (but never on a day that there was an exercise scheduled) and get arrested for the benefit of the New York Times or Newsweek. /x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
They included (but were not limited to): Reverend Al Sharpton, Mrs. Jesse Jackson, Joan Baez, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Edward Olmos, Michael Moore Ramsey Clark, just to name a few. /x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
In 2002, the bombing exercises were transferred to an Air Force bombing range in central Florida, not far from the Jacksonville and Pensacola Naval Air Stations. In January, many of the protesters were back in Puerto Rico, celebrating the final bombing exercise on Vieques and waved Puerto Rican/x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
flags and placards that read : "US. Navy, get out of Puerto Rico." /x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
The following Feb, Rumsfeld announced that the U.S. Navy will close the Roosevelt Roads Naval Air Station in Puerto Rico in 2004, eliminating 1200 civilian jobs as well as 700 military positions. This naval facility is estimated to have put nearly $300 million annually into the local economy. /x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
The next day a stunned Governor Sila Calderon, held a news conference in San Juan, protesting the base closure as a serious blow to the Commonwealth's fragile economy. The governor stated that "The people of Puerto Rico don't now or never did have an interest in closing the Vieques bombing range or the Roosevelt Roads naval base. We are interested in both staying in Puerto Rico."/x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily> When asked, the Commander-in Chief, Western Atlantic Command, said, "Without Vieques, I see no further need for the facility at Roosevelt Roads. None."/x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
So, Yanqui go home? Fine. But we'll take our dollars with us. Hasta la vista, baby! /x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
On February 21, the Secretary of Defense also announced that starting this year, the U.S. European Command would begin moving most if not all of its active combat and support units from bases in Germany to others being established in Poland, The Czech Republic, Hungary and Turkey to "better position them for rapid deployment to likely hot spots in those parts of the world." Immediately the business and government leaders in the German states of Hesse, Rhineland and Wurttemburg, protested the loss of nearly $6 billion in revenue each year from the bases and manpower to be displaced./x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry speculated that the move may be "what the Americans call 'payback' for the actions of this government in opposing Military action in Iraq. " Does anyone know the German translation for "Hasta la vista, baby?"/x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
Oh, ain't it nice to see a government with guts and a good memory. Thank you/x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
President Bush for doing the RIGHT THING at the RIGHT TIME./x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
GOD BLESS AMERICA/x-tad-smaller>/fontfamily>
Guys,
I got this today from Gary Bauer's newsletter. There is one bit of good news in it.
The Saudi Hate Machine
A new 89-page report by Freedom House's Center for Religious Freedom on the
involvement of the Saudi Arabian government in promoting hate in the United
States - yes, right here at home - is causing quite a stir among Washington
policy makers. The report examined over two hundred mosques in the U.S.
All of the documents were "disseminated, published or otherwise generated"
by the government of Saudi Arabia. What researchers found in document
after document was a virulent Wahhabi ideology that promotes hatred and
bigotry.
The documents teach Muslims that it is their duty to hate Christians and
Jews; they denounce democracy as un-Islamic; and argue that it is a
Muslim's duty to eliminate the nation of Israel. And this putrid brew of
hate is readily available in mosques and Islamic centers around the country
- courtesy of our Saudi "ally."
By the way, here is an encouraging note. The study was undertaken after
many U.S. Muslims requested the Center for Religious Freedom's help in
exposing the extremist agenda being subsidized by the Saudi government.
(You can get more information by visiting
http://www.freedomhouse.org then

WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR OUR NEXT PRESIDENT GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?
And I wouldn't care what party he represented.
My Fellow Americans:
As you all know, the defeat of Iraq regime has been completed. Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.
This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now time to begin the reckoning.
Before me, I have two lists. One list contains! the names of countries that have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed there.
The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the world's nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.
Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.
The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell-holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption. Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.
In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home.
On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth. Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France, or maybe China.
To Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Yo, boys. Work out a peace deal now. Just note that Camp David is closed. Maybe all of you can go to Russia for negotiations. They have some great palaces there. Big tables, too. By the way Palestinians, we are no longer going to restrain Israel!
I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia Thanks for all your help, comrades.
We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon chance, mes amis.
I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers, and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York.
A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not pissing us off for a change. Mexico is also on List 2. President Fox and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I will have a couple of extra tank and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to put em? Yep, border security. So start doing something with your oil.
Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty---starting now. We are sick and tired of the one-way highway.
It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, "darn tootin."
Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. It is time to eliminate World Cup Soccer from America.
To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you and we won't forget. To the nations on List 2, a final thought. Go to Hell. God Bless America. Thank you and good night.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English, Thank a U.S. Soldier!!!!!!!!!
All,
I received the notice below from a friend who works with Voice of The Marytrs, a Christian organization that seeks to make known the plight of those persecuted around the world for their faith in Jesus Christ. This report, though, is from right here in America.

COPTIC KILLINGS
Christians stalked
on Islamic website
Murdered New Jersey man among several tracked by Muslims

The New Jersey man brutally murdered with his family was just one of a number of Christians systematically tracked by a radical Islamic website because they debate Muslims on the popular Internet chat service PalTalk.com.
The password-protected Arabic website www.barsomyat.com, includes the kind of death threat received by Hossam Armanious, a Coptic Christian from Jersey City, N.J., who was found Jan. 14 with his wife and two daughters, bound and gagged with their throats slashed, the New York Sun reports.
Two months before his murder, according to authorities, Armanious received a death threat from a Muslim PalTalk user: "You'd better stop this bull ... or we are going to track you down like a chicken and kill you."
The Sun's report says barsomyat.com features photographs and information about Christians who actively debate on PalTalk, including a group of photographs of a Syrian Christian, "Joseph," who now lives in Canada.
Personal information posted by subscribers clearly indicates they are trying to find his current address, the paper said.
One comment warns: "Know, oh Christian, that you are not far from us and you are under our watchful eyes!"
Another says: "Laugh, oh Christian, and soon you will see a big hit."
The Islamic website's banner displays lamb with its throat being slit and a crucifix crossed out by a violent red "X." The main heading, in Arabic, says "Christians: Revealing the Truth Behind Our Belief."
Authorities have not determined whether the Armanious family's murder is tied to Islamic radicals, but the Sun says barsomyat.com users expressed delight in the deaths.
One post, with a photograph of Armanious and his wife, said, "This is a picture of the filthy dog, curser of Muhammad, and a photo of his filthy wife, curser of Muhammad. They got what they deserved for their actions in America."
The Islamic website has at least seven collections of photographs of Christians who post on PalTalk and about 40 related discussion threads.
One post is about a Christian man whose computer apparently was hacked to obtain his photograph. It includes his PalTalk name, real name and the city where he lives in Lebanon, the Sun reported.
Another entry, with photographs of four Christians, says it has postponed publishing information "because there is a lot more to be revealed when the time is right."
Islam researcher and writer Robert Spencer, moderator of the weblog JihadWatch.com, told the Sun he has never seen anything like the posts on barsonmyat.com.
"It's chilling to see photographs of people who probably have no idea that they're on the website," he said. "Hamas's website would post self-congratulatory accounts of their attacks on civilians, but barsomyat.com's users are telegraphing their intended victims in advance."
Spencer told the New York paper he sees barsomyat.com as a "prime example" of how Islamic extremists can utilize technology to attempt to bring Islamic religious law to the West.
"We saw in the Theo van Gogh murders that some Muslims will take these kinds of matters into their own hands," Spencer said, referring to the murdered Dutch filmmaker. "The Internet makes it easier for them to do so by disseminating this kind of information. You could imagine 15 years ago how hard it would be for people to get this much information on people who they believe should be killed."
On his JihadWatch weblog, Spencer posted translations of conversations. He says, "It is clear that the personal information is being exchanged in order to facilitate the murders of the people discussed.
Bibo 117: Allah bless you brothers!
Here is the surprise you've all been waiting for and we haven't published yet due to a certain reason. The damned Muhammad-cursing dog "[NAME REMOVED]" is the big brother of "[NAME REMOVED]" and their little brother is the one called "[NAME REMOVED]."
"[NAME REMOVED]" the dog is married to the daughter of one of the Muhammad-cursing Christians from paltalk. We have postponed publishing this information because there is a lot more to be revealed when the time is right. These are the pictures of the "devil triangle."
[Photos of the people mentioned were then posted.]
Bibo 117: For you my brothers I now present the second photo collection of the Muhammad-cursing paltalk pigs. Wait a little for the rest of the pictures. The first photo is that of the foul smelling ugly pig "[NAME REMOVED]."
Anti Christians: [Posts Photos:] "The deceitful [NAME REMOVED]" and "The liar [NAME REMOVED]." [In green in the middle:] "Beware!"
Bibo 117: Fellow brothers this is the picture of one of the most Muhammad-cursing Christians. It was taken as he was opening a camera with one of the young Christian ladies from Paltalk.
*After he is finished, the isolation of the Christian lady will be completed.
This idiots name on paltalk: [NAME REMOVED]
His real name is: [NAME REMOVED]
He lives in [NAME REMOVED].

January 4, 2005/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
Today, during an afternoon conference that wrapped up my project of the last 18 months, one of my Euro colleagues tossed this out to no one in particular:/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
"See, this is why George Bush is so dumb, there's a disaster in the world and he sends an Aircraft Carrier..."/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
After which he and many of my Euro colleagues laughed out loud.and then they looked at me. I wasn't laughing, and neither was my Hindi friend sitting next to me, who has lost family in the disaster. I'm afraid I was "unprofessional", I let it loose -/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
"Hmmm, let's see, what would be the ideal ship to send to a disaster, now what kind of ship would we want? Something with its own Inexhaustible power supply? Something that can produce 900,000 gallons of fresh water a day from sea water?/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
Something with its own airfield? So that after producing the fresh water, it could help distribute it? Something with 4 hospitals and lots of open space for emergency supplies? Something with a global communications facility to make the coordination of disaster relief in the region easier? Well "Franz", us peasants in America call that kind of ship an "Aircraft Carrier." We have 12 of them. How many do you have? Oh that's right, NONE. Lucky for you and the rest of the world, we are the kind of people who share. Even with people we don't like. In fact, if memory serves, once upon a time we peasants spent a ton of money and lives rescuing people who we had once tried to kill and who tried to kill us. Do you know who those people were? that's right Franz, Europeans. There is a French Aircraft carrier? where is it? Right where it belongs! In France of course! Oh why should the French Navy dirty their uniforms helping people on the other side of the globe. How Simplesse... The day an American has to move a European out of the way to help in some part of the world it will be a great day in the world /x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
.../x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
" The room fell silent./x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
My Hindi friend then said quietly to the Euros: "Can you let your hatred of George Bush end for just one minute? There are people dying! And what are your countries doing? Amazon.com has helped more than France has. You all have a role to play in the world, why can't you see that? Thank God for the US Navy, they don't have to come and help, but they are. They helped you once and you should all thank God they did. They didn't have to, and no one but them would have done so. I'm ashamed of you all..."/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
He left the room, shaking and in tears. The frustration of being on the other side of the globe, unable to do anything to assist and faced with people who could not set aside their asininity long enough to reach out and help was too much for him to bear./x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
I just shook my head and left. The Euros stood speechless. Later in the breakroom, one of the laughing Euros caught me and extended his hand in an apology. I asked him where he was from, he said "a town outside of Berlin." He is a young man, in his early 20's. I asked him if he knew of a man named Gail Halvorsen. He said no. I said "that's a shame" and walked away to find my Hindi friend./x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
For those of you who may not remember, Gail Halvorsen was the transport pilot responsible for the "candy drop" during the Berlin airlift. They called him the "Candy Bomber" as he dropped goodies for all the Berlin children./x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>

Veterans Day just 10 days away! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Ken,
Around the country U.S. Veterans join together to celebrate, honor and be recognized for their service to our great country. Please join us for these events and parades. A directory of events is available at www.vetfriends.com/parades.
Please contact the coordinators for verification of the events.
If you know of a Veterans Day parade or event, please register the details at www.vetfriends.com/parades/add_parade.cfm
The
history of Veterans Day starts like this, in 1921 an unknown World War I American soldier was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Similar ceremonies occurred earlier in England and France, where an unknown soldier was buried in each nation's highest place of honor (in England, Westminster Abbey; in France, the Arc de Triomphe).
These memorial services all took place on November 11, the anniversary of the end of World War I at 11:00 a.m., November 11, 1918 (the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month), which became known as Armistice Day.
Armistice Day officially became a holiday in the United States in 1926, and a national holiday 12 years later. On June 1, 1954, the name was changed to Veterans Day to honor all U.S. veterans.
In 1968, new legislation changed the national commemoration of Veterans Day to the fourth Monday in October. It soon became apparent, however, that November 11 was a date of historic significance to many Americans. Therefore, in 1978 Congress returned the observance to its traditional date.
Official, national ceremonies for Veterans Day center around the Tomb of the Unknowns. To honor these men, symbolic of all Americans who gave their lives in all wars, an Army honor guard, the 3d U.S. Infantry (The Old Guard), keeps day and night vigil.
At 11 a.m. on November 11, a combined color guard representing all military services executes "Present Arms" at the tomb. The nation's tribute to its war dead is symbolized by the laying of a presidential wreath and the playing of "Taps."
Thanks again & best regards,

Why Buy American? Forty-percent of the world is in recession. New records have been set for both personal and corporate bankruptcies. America's trade deficit continues to escalate to historic levels. The savings rate has turned negative, as the average consumer spends $1.10 for every dollar they earn. Real wages for working Americans have plummeted 19% since 1972 - about the same time we entered into a so-called "global economy." We only vote for our representatives every two or four years, but we vote with our wallets and checkbooks every day!

JOHN GLENN ON THE SENATE FLOOR/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2004 11:13/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living. This IS a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of the military./x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
Senator Metzenbaum to Senator Glenn: "How can you run for Senate when you've never held a real job?"/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
Senator Glenn: "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>program. It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was not a nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank. I ask you to go with me ... as I went the other day...to a veteran's hospital and look those men with their mangled bodies - in the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job! You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee... and you look those kids in the eye and tell them that their DADS didn't hold a job. You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch those waving flags. You stand there, and you think about this nation, and you tell ME that those people didn't have a job? I'll tell you, Howard Metzenbaum; you should be on your knees every day of your life thanking God that there were some men, SOME MEN who held REAL jobs. And they required a dedication to a purpose and a love of country and a dedication to duty that was more important than life itself. And their self-sacrifice is what made this country possible. I HAVE held a job, Howard! What about you?"/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
For those who don't remember - During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney representing the Communist Party in the USA. Now he is a Senator!/x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/fontfamily>
